Situated in the town of El Palmar at one of the still most virgin and wild coasts of Spain (costa de la luz, Atlantic ocean), Tierra Paz is a place of human respect and harmony and of simple living in union with nature.

An eco yoga retreat to be, right now this place is still in the phase of creation and transformation. But one of the houses – a transformed shipping container – already provides a beautiful place to live. Inside you find a double bed and 2 single beds (which can be put together to another double bed, or serve as a sofa if not needed to sleep), and a spacious area with a table to eat inside or work.The best part of the container is its huge porch, serving as an outdoor but sheltered kitchen, living room and dining area. Probably the biggest shaded place you find in El Palmar to hide during the hot Andalusian summer afternoons.

Apart from that you can enjoy a huge outside garden area with a big lawn and more cozy places to hang out with beautiful views on the neighboring field.

If you are not looking for a house, you can also come in your campervan and stay with us on that spacious ground. Max. 2 campers! 🙂

The place can accommodate 4-5 people. 4 adults, or a family with 1-3 kids. 

There is plenty of space to run around, so kids love this place! If there are 4 adults, the bed and the table can be swapped and you can have a room with separation from the big room.

Container: 1 double bed, additional single, twin or double bed, outside and inside dining and living area, WIFI, inside pee toilet and washbasin.

Porch: Outside kitchen equipped with double sink, drinking water dispenser, gas stove (4 flames), big fridge and freezer, outside barbeque area; communal bathroom with hot shower (in small container, at the moment in construction, ready end of may), outdoor cold shower,, outside poo toilet, private parking, baby wading pool available (conscious use of water please). We can organize bike or surf board rental and surf or yoga classes or massages.

Tierra Paz is an off-grid property of 1000 sqm with 2 living units (a big and a small container), a 60 sqm covered veranda, 500 sqm of lawn, a veggie patch and a private parking area.

We run 100% on solar energy, all water is being recycled and reused to water the plants, and the toilet is an absolutely clean and hygienic compost (dry) toilet (with an amazing view), where your poop will eventually become perfect compost earth. At the moment we share this place with 4 cats that consider this place their home as much as we do 🙂 

For me personally, although being different and simple, this is the most beautiful and peaceful place in all El Palmar.

need to know before you book

During your stay, we (or my partner only) and the cats will also be living on the land (in the small container). There are no physical separations of the outside spaces, so we would share the outside kitchen, the communal shower and the compost toilet together (you still have a second, private bathroom with a sink and a toilet only to pee inside the container). There also might be another couple in their campervan staying on the land, using their own kitchen, but sharing the shower.

Sharing is a beautiful part of human union, and if done with mutual respect for each other’s needs, is a beautiful experience.

Please. Only really book this place if you feel like minded and share these values of living in harmony with nature and other humans. If you plan to come for a week of only partying and getting drunk or high (and with the loss of control, losing the respect or forgetting how to use this space), honestly, this is not your place! (or if you’re allergic to cats 🙂 

The space requires sensible and conscious use of scarce resources (water) and the right use of the toilets. The inside toilet is only for pee, as the water gets recycled, and in the compost toilet separate the urine from the solid, and poo on each others poop, covering it with sawdust after use. Although different to what you might know, be sure that there is absolutely no smell, and really is what we should do: not flushing our waste in drinking water, but closing the circle and bringing it back to being earth.
